Royal Yacht Britannia: - brings Queen Elizabeth II and Duke of Edinburgh to Leith. The yacht is now decommissioned and is a visitor's attraction at Leith Docks beside Ocean Terminal.
Our PHF Cron Mackay gave us a You Tude video tonight on the Queen's 1956 visit to Leith. She arrived on the Royal Yacht Britannia and after a brief inspection of the assembled troops departed for Edinburgh! The royal yacht is now one of the most visited attractions in Edinburgh.
'What We Do' Main Pages:
Leith Rotary was established on 17th April, 1952 and "Chartered" on 21st July, 1952. There were 26 members of the Club when it was chartered. The Rotary Club of Edinburgh is the 'Mother Club'. There are now 25 active, and 1 Honorary Member.
