Rotary and Women in Business

This Ready steady cook evening had everyone enjoying themselves.

President Mark introduced everyone including the town Mayor present. This evening with Rotary + Women in Business with a ready steady cook style challenge create a Vegetarian florentine pastry raising funds for St Michael's hospice and Spotlight UK

As we reach the end of another Rotary Year, a last ditch attempt for fame was made by our infamous Rotarian chefs in residence - President Mark Flower and Club Secretary Colin Craig, by battling their culinary skills against the Women In Business Group.  They entertained us at this charity evening of fun, food and fundraising and narrowly won the contest.

Funds raised were to be applied to:

• St. Michael's Hospice, which is the WIB chosen charity
• Spotlight UK a local children's charity that helps youngsters improve their opportunities confidence and abilities and our chosen Rotary charity as well as other Rotary local charities.  Our efforts will help Spotlight provide meals for local vulnerable families, adults and children by financing the purchase of cookers and heaters for their kitchen which will go on to provide a winter service for elderly residents as well.
