FROM the end of April members of the Italian community across the region have once again be able to access key services in Bedford when a newly appointed Honorary Consul opened up his office.

Guy Moliterno (pictured), who is the director of Mayfair Corporate Services, was awarded the title of Honorary Consul to Italy in Bedford earlier this year and will open his office at Mayfair House in Lurke Street three days a week from April 30.

The office, which will provide services such as European identification cards, and verification of financial and other legal documents, will be open from 9.30am-1pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 1pm-4pm on Fridays.

Services will be available by appointment only, with a maximum of 10 appointments a day. Four volunteers will help Mr Moliterno and an Italian speaking person will be at the reception desk on those days.
