Club’s International Projects shortlisted for District Trophy

Two club projects completed in 2013/14 were shortlisted for the District’s John Grant Trophy. This trophy is awarded each year in Rotary District 1080 to the Club which achieves the best and most effective international service project.

a) Heightening the boundary wall at Punarnawa Ashram, Bihar, India

Punarnawa Ashram is a Trafficking Shelter in Bihar, India for girls rescued from sex slavery. When originally constructed, with the addition of barbed wire, the wall was of sufficient height to deter slave masters trying to recover their previous.
