The Rotary Club of Lostwithiel was presented with 3 awards at the annual District Conference for Rotary District 1290, which was held at the Holiday Inn in Plymouth over the weekend 28th February to 2nd March 2015.  These awards were received by Carol Lay and Mike Sharpe on behalf of the club and they were re-presented at the club fellowship evening on 5th March to the particular Rotarians whose individual efforts largely lead to the awards being given:

  1. The District Neville Hargreaves Youth Award was given to James Kittow for the club's Opening Doors to a Brighter Future event.

  2. The End Polio Now Award was given to Bill Clarke for the club's efforts in helping to eradicate the crippling disease of Polio from the world .

  3. The Best Website in District 1290 Award was given to Nick Warrick for the club's website which is a great source of information for everything that the club is involved with.Nick Warrick is presented with the Best District Website Award
    NB: Picture is actually from a later presentation on the 12th March as Nick was unavailable on the 5th March.
