This is where the team, of which you are all a part sets out our plans for the coming year.

Before we do that I would like to thank, on your behalf, President Tony and everybody who helped make this current year the success that it is, a hard act to follow.

What are we going to do this year? My 3 wishes are:

·       We make a positive difference.

·       We all engage with Rotary.

·       We enjoy ourselves.

As simple as that.

The theme handed to us for this coming year by RI President Ravi is 'Be a gift to the world'. By which he means use our skills in projects and to help others, we are not just a bunch of can shakers we are a service organisation.

The plans you will hear this evening I believe go a long way to us meeting that call. Although they do include some fundraising which is absolutely necessary.

A few weeks ago I proposed to council and I outlined to the club a change to our committee structure that increased our focus on membership, marketing and public relations. There were also a few title changes. This was approved by council and recommended to club. Do you want me to go through those changes again? This Assembly is going to be presented in that format, can I formally ask the club to approve those changes.
