Ian Ashcroft is a Human Resources Consultant having worked for a number of large organisations the most recent being Haymarket Publishing.   He now runs his own consultancy business out of Ickwell.  He is married to Marlene and has 2 children and 4 Grandchildren.


Ian Ashcroft has been in People management all his working life. He formed Ashway Associates in 1983 and has provided HR Services to many SME’s and multinational companies in Europe and USA.  He also was HR Director to Haymarket Media Group from 2005-2008 and  advises the Consultation Institute.

He gave an interesting talk on the development of Human Resources since the First World War and how it now covered many aspects including recruitment, appraisals, labour relations, salaries and performance related pay, pensions, employment law and redundancy.  He concluded with some anecdotes and the talk was appreciated by all.
