Start of a new Rotary Year

Vice President John Cradduck chaired this the first meeting of a new Rotary year. He started by welcoming guest Bob Boreham. Ivan Evans confirmed that arrangements for the Concert in the Park at Severn Porte on Friday 10th July at 7pm were finalised, at which Ysgol Dyffryn Trannon, Llanidloes High Schools and the Tenovus Choir will be performing. Ivan also confirmed that everything was in place for this year’s Carnival Raffle on Saturday 11th July which is in aid of the Nepal Earthquake Disaster. John Griffiths set the presentation dates of the Dictionary4 Life books as Friday 10th July in Llanidloes and Thursday 16th July in Trefeglwys and that President Alun Moses will be presenting them. Finally the club congratulated President Alun Moses on his term in office over the last 12 months, in which the club donated £8,500 to various charities and good causes.
