Frampton Hidden Gardens event supports St Mary’s Church Flower Festival.

The annual Hidden Gardens event in Frampton held earlier this year in June, once again proved to be a great success.

The weather was kind, the visitor attendance was excellent, and as always the gardens, large and small which were opened for display, were superb.

The event which has been organised by Stonehouse Rotary over many years, has always been run so that the Village and residents benefit from money raised.

Over the years, donations have been made to support St Mary’s Church and the

Congregational Church, both the Village and Community Halls, Lakewood school, the Village playground, the Youth Cricket club, the Youth Football team, the Severnside Scout group, and two replacement bench seats for the Village Green.

In addition to these, donations have also been made to individual good causes.

Already this year, the Club granted funds towards the cost of staging the very success

Flower Festival in St Mary’s Church. No doubt details of this excellent event will be covered

elsewhere in this issue.

In addition, the Club will be helping with donations towards other projects in Frampton, and details of these will be covered in future issues of the Newsletter. For a more

comprehensive list, visit our website www.stonehouserotary.org.uk and click on the

heading ‘What we do’. From the drop down menu, click on ‘The money you give us: where does it go?’

As always, the Club are very grateful for the support given by Frampton residents, to the Hidden Gardens event, as well as the Carol Float which tours around at Christmas.

The accompanying picture shows Carol Alexander accepting a cheque for £500 on behalf of the Flower Festival organising committee. The cheque was presented by Stonehouse Rotary Club President - John Morris.
