Motorvate Therapies Ltd is Social Enterprise Company which aims to provide therapy and literacy services to support young people and their families living with additional support needs. Learning through movement and sensory experiences allows young people to experience success and enjoy the journey towards positive learning at home and School.

Motorvate Therapies Ltd will provide assessment, intervention at many levels and support to young people with additional support needs (and their families) from 0-18years. In addition the delivery of training will empower those working with young people with additional support needs to provide the essential 24 hour approach that the young person requires to succeed in day to day activities including school and leisure.

Objectives of Motorvate Therapies Ltd

  • To provide standardised assessments/non-standardised assessment and clinical evaluation of the referred young person’s additional support needs.
  • To provide intervention in the form of individual and/ or group sessions to address each young person’s specific challenges. This will include building self-esteem and resilience to allow them to take part in activities in the wider community and to experience inclusion.
  • To work jointly with parents, the young person and the school to formulate measurable treatment goals and to identify and implement a 24 hour approach for the young person.
  • To provide training for parents, carers and professionals to enhance their knowledge of additional support needs. This will provide them with skills to support the young person’s specific challenges and to recognise the young person’s individual skills.
  • To provide the opportunity for networking thus providing support for Parents / Carers and Professionals.
  • To provide opportunities for work experience for senior pupils in local schools.  Pupils will support young children with specific difficulties in Sports Therapy Groups.  Work placements will be credited to Voluntary Award Schemes.
  • To ensure company profits are used to provide affordable services for all who require Motorvate Services.

Our team consists of an Occupational Therapist and a Teacher who specialise in supporting the learning of children with specific learning difficulties.
