Crossford Gala 2016

Sat, Jun 4th 2016 at 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Club will have a presence at Crossford Gala. The venue is King George V Park. Why not say hello to us?

No hurricane force winds this year at Crossford Gala, quite the reverse, it was a beautiful sunny afternoon which certainly brought out the crowds to keep us busy.

The young  kids of Crossford  had a ball playing the golf game and they loved the Lucky Dip after their efforts. The overall winner (Murray) was photographed with rotarians proudly holding his prize. There was a new game (treasure hunt) devised by Helen which went down very well with the kids and parents. A further addition was throwing small coloured bean bags on simillarly coloured squares seeking high scores. Members were also marshalling at the procession and helping at the Scout BBQ. Our participation was appreciated as was the donation and there is no doubt we raised our profile in the community. Well done to all.

There is NO better way to interact with the community than “to  get on down and dirty “ and having a chat with the locals on their home patch. All rotarians in attendance throughly enjoyed their involvement.
