Dinner -AGM and Business meeting

On Thursday 20th April President Brian Johnson welcomed 22 Club Rotarians and visitor Rev Alistair McLeod to this lunch time meeting held at Gilvenbank Hotel. 

On reception, this week were Ewen MacDonald who said grace and Gerald Cameron.

Five apologies for absence were received.

This week was the Clubs AGM and also a business meeting

Confirmation of Office Bearers previously elected at SGM, or later intimated, for the Rotary year 2017-2018 effective from beginning of July 2017.

President: Lindsay Roy, Pres Elect /SVP: Anne Sampson, JVP: vacant position, Secretary : Sheila Matthew, Treasurer : Geoff Sampson

Electing not less than three and not more than six ordinary members of the council.

Confirming the appointment of the chairman of committees were Community – Wilna Roger, Foundation – Brian Johnston, International – Tracy Thomson (shoe boxes),,Vocational – Murray Grubb, Fundraising – Iain Haywood

Electing any honorary members for the Rotary year 2017-2018.
Council agreed to remain as Alex Clark, Ian Chalmers, Tom Davidson & Hamish Rothnie

Appointing a person or persons to examine the club’s annual accounts for the Rotary year 2017-2018. As Walter Fletcher passes over to Geoff Sampson, Walter will continue in the capacity of checking the accounts for Geoff.

Electing one representative (and substitute) of the club on the district council, and one additional representative (and substitute) for every 25 or major fraction thereof of its active members. 
Continue with President and Vice President attending.

Receiving annual reports from the council and committees of the club for the current Rotary year.

Receiving the treasurer’s report and proposed budget, including the annual subscription, and determining the entrance fee for the ensuing Rotary year 2017-2018 which was agreed as £125.

This week’s meeting on Thursday 27th April 2017 will be a lunch time meeting and is to be held at the Glenrothes Foodbank. please meet 12.45pm for starting at 12.55pm.

This coming Friday 28th April 2017 the club celebrate their 60th anniversary with a dinner at the Balbirnie Park Golf Club entertainment beginning at 7pm and the meal at 7.45pm please therefore arrive before 6.45pm.
