Supper - Awards evening.

On Thursday 25th April 2017 President Brian Johnson welcomed 100 Club Rotarians and guests to this evening meeting which was held at the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes. 

On reception, this week were Will Wishart, Walter Fletcher, Murray Grubb and Lindsay Roy with President Brian Johnson saying grace.

What a fantastic Awards night as the evening showcased and described the events which took place during the course of the year as President Brian Johnson's Presidential year draws to a close. The event organised and coordinated by Community chair Anne Sampson and IPP and schools Liaison Wilna Roger saw students from the High Schools awarded and presented with certificates, trophies and wallet of notes. With 100 people attending the evening Young Musician Instrumentalist winner on the bagpipes Conner Pratt and vocalist Michael Mclean entertained the guests, with Jenny Gilruth MSP presenting the awards, Gilvenbank Community Sports Hub Chair Kenny Crichton was presented with a cheque for £2000 being the main beneficiary of the recently held Sportsman's dinner. District 1010 Governor Roddy Duncan and his wife will have travelled over 200 miles to attend also Anne Mitchell assistant Governor and Rotarian husband Harry from the Rotary Club of Kirkcaldy. High School rectors and staff along with competition judges and some parents and Rotarians and also Collydean Primary school pupils who won the Primary school Quiz competition.

This week’s meeting on Thursday 1st June 2017 will revert back to a lunch time meeting to be held at the Gilvenbank Hotel. please meet 12.45pm for starting at 12.55pm. On reception will be Ron Page and Peter May with our speaker being Andy Strachan speaking about Man Sheds.
