District 1260 Conference

19th, 20th & 21st May 2017 

Chalmers and Barbara invite you to ‘save the date’ for conference 2017 and register your intention to attend. 

The venue is the Marriott Bristol City Centre – with everything under one roof. We are holding rooms at the hotel, so if you want to stay where the action is Register for Conference and once you have your registration number contact Morag Norgan who will book you into the Marriott City Centre. 

The key events are –

Friday 19th at 7.30pm Rotary Club Night celebrating the Centenary of the Rotary Foundation. This fun evening will gives us the opportunity for fellowship with club members on dedicated Club tables. There will be the parade of painted Shauns and Gromits, with results of the Silent Auction, along with a guest speaker or two. 

Saturday 20th at 9.30am, Conferences opens with an array of speakers to inspire and educate, these include Adam Henson (Key presenter on BBCs’ Country File), and folk from the organisation Spark Inside who work with young offenders. 

Saturday 20th at 7.30pm enjoy a Gala Dinner with ‘a Touch of Tartan’ and a piper. The after dinner guest is Matt Harvey a performance poet, who has ‘performed’ at many District Conferences, followed by dancing. 

Sunday 21st May – we hope to be joining up with local Rotarians on a community project.
