Welcome to Banff Rotary

Welcome to Banff Rotary Club!

So what do you know about Rotary?  Ever wondered why it’s such a long-standing and vibrant world-wide network?  Ever wondered why Rotarians stay Rotarians for many years?

The answers are  simple.  The Rotary Club of Banff, like all its fellow clubs around the world, is a club where like-minded people spend some time together (often over food and drink!) planning the  ways in which they can raise funds to help others – the young, the elderly and the disadvantaged.  Locally, nationally and sometimes Internationally.   It’s a great combination of interesting projects and  a wider social life, too.

We’re always looking to do more and that means increasing our membership.  If you would like to know more about how we work, and get a feel for what this local group is all about, then why not come and join us one Thursday evening at The Fife Lodge Hotel.  We often have visitors of all kinds, including sponsors and partners, so you certainly won’t feel like a stranger.

You don’t need to be a special kind of person – but if you have a sense of fun/humour, a passion for mankind and a will to get stuck in with the wider team to make a difference to the lives of others, then this could be right up your street.

Here in Banff,  we’re a group of just 25 people, where members come from a very wide variety of backgrounds.  We have a former teacher, engineer, a dentist, a construction guy, a farmer, a GP, a plumber, a pharmacist, an art specialist, a head-master, a lawyer, a harbour-master.  But your age and   background are completely irrelevant – it’s what’s in your heart that counts – like all good relationships!

We organise some great fund-raising events such as the Burns Night supper, the Banffshire Cycle Challenge, The Classic Car Experience (new on our calendar) and the Texas Scramble Golf Competition, so there’s never a dull moment.

If you have a couple of hours to spare each week and feel it’s time for something new, then do contact us and we’ll be delighted to meet you.

Best wishes
