Karen Rabjohn
Karen began her career at British Aerospace in Stevenage, covering various roles leading to Senior Training Officer – delivering management training courses. Karen left BAE to stay at home to bring up four children. During this time she undertook several volunteer roles and chaired several local committees particularly with charities, churches and schools and built up a basic knowledge of fundraising and charity management.
When Karen returned to work she wanted to do something that made a difference and secured a job with a youth homelessness charity in Luton, where she became Deputy CEO.  From there she moved to Head
of Fundraising and Marketing for a hospice.
In May last year Karen joined Bedford College as the Development Manager to help the College establish links with businesses and the community which will aid the development of the College’s services and facilities.  Her first project is the new Advanced Engineering Centre.
