Stuart Rhodes began his talk by explaining that in his opinion, there is no such thing as an "ordinary "person. In fact he said that he had never met one.
Thus his subject was his many experiences and memories, book characters, radio speakers, people of all types and people who had shared interesting, family, work and pleasure thoughts and experiences with him.
He then gave us some of his memories of those things, people and places that were retained by him and for ten minutes entered into a barrage of amusing happenings and stories.
