Mr Duthie, Ms Linton, Mrs Malecki, Miss Shearer and the Webster’s High School biking group pupils would like to thank the Kirriemuir Rotary Group, the Webster’s High School Parent Council, and the local and national software programming business, Ounce Technology Ltd, for their very generous donations allowing the school to purchase new biking equipment. These gratefully received donations, amounting so far to £2 500, have been used to buy 7 BOB Ibex biking trailers which will allow pupils to participate in multi day, self-sufficient, biking expeditions. Finlay Waddell and Ciara Roger, both pictured in the photos, are two members of this year’s Silver Duke of Edinburgh biking group at Webster’s.

The trailers will be used for the school biking activities, one component of which would be the Duke of Edinburgh Awards biking expeditions run by the above staff at Webster’s High School, Kirriemuir. These expeditions will involve staying in hostels, bunk-houses or, at times, over-night camping. It is also hoped that these trailers will allow pupils the opportunity to cycle into the mountains, independently set up camp and then walk in the hills, forming an all-round outdoor activity experience.
