RIGB President Eve Conway visits Llanelli Rotary Club

RIGB President Eve Conway Ghazi and her husband Robert together with Steve Jenkins DG of District 1150 were the guests of Llanelli Rotary Club on Friday 5th May
• Eve is a member of the Redbridge Rotary Club
• Robert is a member of the St Marleybone Rotary Club
• Steve is a member of Cardiff Bay Rotary Club
Llanelli Rotary Club President Mark Evans accompanied them to the Air Ambulance station at Dafen for a tour of the facilty as Eve is a very strong supporter of the organisation - here we were hosted by Mark Stephens
Llanelli Rotary Club raised £4400 with it’s Christmas Santa’s Grotto of which Air Ambulance was one of the four organisations that received £1100
After fellowship and Club Banner exchanges at Stradey Park Hotel over Club lunch the team visited the Heol Goffa School for Special Needs Children.Staff and Pupils have developed a Special Partnership Approach with Llanelli Rotary Club over the last few years
The visitors were able to speak to Staff and Children and witness the work undertaken with Llanelli Rotary Club and it’s engagement in Youth Services activities like Young Chef/Young Photographer and Young Citizen. A visit to the recently refurbished “Happy Hut” where Rotarians had repaired and repainted the structure was greatly admired by the visitors
