My Job Talk by Sue Roberts
Sue gave the Rotary Club members an excellent talk on her job experiences, with a background in crime, probation, prison, police and 30 years parole board, mental health review tribunals, inspecting prisons, training staff and teaching criminology to university students.
Sue was also a Home Office adviser, writing speeches for Ministers and interviewing murderers for parole decisions.
Sue was also involved in victims of crime, meeting and discussing the crimes with them.
After a long career in the Civil Service, Sue faced redundancy and started a new business in Business Consultancy. The global recession brought a down turn in business consultancy and so Sue spent eight years working with Utility Warehouse, a simple process to help people to save money.
Sue is now doing what she enjoys best and that is helping others, through building a local community of business through new business networking, not for profit.
Sue is also an ambassador for the charity 'Buddy Bag Foundation', helping children who are victims of domestic violence.
In her spare time Sue enjoys her border collie rescue dog, horse racing, skiing and walking.
Throughout the talk it was obvious that Sue has a passion to help others and we welcome her as a member of the Rotary Club of Nantwich.
