Speaker David Pibworth - "A History of British Sit-Com"

David  is an experienced, versatile,  popular and well versed  after dinner speaker and has performed on cruise ships. He is also a working actor and director within light entertainment, having experience with London West end shows. He regularly acts in Christmas Pantomimes, recently at Northampton and Isle of Wight theatres.

David lives in Olney and has been involved at the Chrysalis Theatre, Milton Keynes, producing, directing and participating in a number of well-know productions, Steptoe and Son, Allo, Allo, Faulty Towers, The Vicar of Dibley  to name but a few.  David contributes a monthly article to the local  Phonebox magazine.

He  started at quite a young age producing shows for some of the greats like Norman Wisdom and then went on to comedy writing before taking to the stage as an actor himself. He also fronts the comedy band, The Bolivian Sunshine Dogs, who have played with many groups such as Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen and appeared annually at The Monster Raving Loony Annual Conference.
