RotaKids land in Lairg

Only last year Lairg hit the headlines as it was proved to be at the centre of a multimillion year old depression where a giant meteor collided with earth and put paid to the dinosaur age.  BUT this week another explosion was heard in Lairg Primary School, an explosion of enthusiasm and good intentions as the Lairg Primary School Rotakids club was established.  Eighteen excited and happy young pupils met and discussed how they can help their own community and communities’ overseas - be it by helping the elderly, entertaining the community, doing good deeds for neighbours, caring for the environment or simply treating everyone with respect.  The guests on their first meeting were Alistair & Fiona Risk from the East Sutherland Rotary Club and the class was mentored by teachers Adrienne and Gaby.
