Brora Rotakids Coffee morning
The Rotakids Club of Brora Primary School held a Macmillan Coffee Morning raising over 450 for that charity. Around 200 people attended the event which was run almost along the lines of a benevolent military exercise with everyone well schooled as to their jobs. Parents provided loads of baking and assorted goodies. It is always a joy to visit the Rotakids in any of the Sutherland schools and to see Service Above Self in Action by the young members of the Rotary family.
Cailin Smith, Piper Armstrong and Ciara Lynch greeted all who came to the Brora Macmillan Coffee morning. The girls did a sterling job of selling all the potatoes from the school garden and the 100 squares to win the beautiful bouquet donated by Maisies Daisies for Macmillan. The bouquet was won by Mrs Elma Dunsire.
People came from all over the village and the surrounding area to support the coffee morning which was run by the p6/7 Rotakids. They did a great job of waitressing, washing up and making everyone welcome. There was a huge choice of delicious cakes donated and in the end a total of £450 plus was raised for Macmillan.
