Venue – The Stragglers Bar at SCCC; Time –Sunrise on a cold bright November morning; 16 members enjoyed a Bacon Bunfare and coffee, with the guy in charge Pres Colin to light the blue touchpaper. First few minutes to agree a format and eat; next 20 mins to discuss how to attract people who wished to contribute to the Community but not necessarily wanted to join Rotary full time. Maybe those of ages who were still employed but contemplating retirement or who now had time after raising a family, and disposable income , and were looking to give something back. Should we have a Satellite Club? Should we look for more cooperation between the Taunton Area Rotary Clubs to present a united front at the Flower Show, say?
Proposed that at the December Breakfast meeting, a small number of invitees attend, so that projects could be discussed, with the intention that it could eventually snowball, as more became interested.
Dispersal time, 08.30, before parking charges applied. Light the sparklers, fire up the rockets, see the stars???
