Get your motor running with Rotary’s new drive to end polio

The Purple4Polio Grand Tour 2018 is hitting the highways next May and needs cars of all shapes and sizes to take part.
Everyone is welcome to join this amazing road trip across Great Britain and Ireland from 21st – 24th May. You pick your team, car, route, where you stay and raise sponsorship. In return, Rotary around the country will provide check and rest areas in stunning locations. We’ll even wave you across the finish line with a chequered flag at the end of tour party in Yorkshire on the 24th of May.
This is not a race. The aim is to raise money for Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign which has saved millions of young children all over the world from this crippling virus through vaccination and research.

We believe in supporting Community groups to achieve their aims. This varies from support for Homeless outreach, Dementia groups, Food banks and outreach to support for abused partners and childrens' groups.

The Club had a sponsored walk for Rainbow Trust and Raised £1050 to help families with very sick and terminal children in Oldham

Rotary Oldham Metro received recognition by Ginny Alexander, Mayor of Oldham for the work carried out during lockdown with vulnerable families and children

Another Food delivery for the Homeless and Vulnerable distributed by Impact Church , kindly donated by St Thomas Church and School Leesfield and delivered by Rotary Oldham Metro.

Oldham Metro's 35th Oldham Primary Schools Choral Speaking Festival should have been held at the Coliseum Theatre, Fairbottom Street, Oldham on 19th. 21st & 22nd March 2019 but due the Covid pandemic we had to cancel this year's event.

The Club hosted the District 1280 Group Study Exchange Team from the Philippines on 13th October and took them down the mine! Afterwards the Group joined a Club Meeting for Dinner at The Golf Club.
