Lunch Time meeting - Archie Lawrie giving a Spooky Talk

.

On Thursday 28th June President Lindsay Roy welcomed 17 Rotarians to the lunchtime meeting at Gilvenbank hotel.

Today’s meeting was overshadowed by the loss of long time member, Gerald Cameron, who sadly passed away earlier this week. Lindsay recalled Gerald’s ever ready warm smile throughout his many years on reception duty and his eternal optimism as a passionate follower of the Tartan Army! He then invited members to join in a minute’s silent reflection upon their individual memories of Gerald.

Members are invited to the funeral service on Thursday 5th July at 9.30 am at the chapel in Falkland Palace.

Our speaker today was fellow member Archie Lawrie who is well known in Fife as a psychic investigator. Archie’s talk today was tailored to suit the occasion as he spoke of the tragic death of his own granddaughter at the age of three. He then went on to explain how a few years later at a meeting of the Scottish Society for Psychical Research a psychic artist totally unknown to Archie drew an amazing portrait of his granddaughter as she would have looked at that time. He also touched on a few other examples of relatives receiving communications from the afterlife and suggested that such evidence offers great hope to the bereaved.

The VOT was given by Wilna Roger.

Next week is the Presidential Handover when Lindsay Roy will pass leadership of the club on to Anne Sampson.
