This week Seagate Rotary are entertaining a group of 15 French Rotarians and partners from their twin club in Orleans.

The week started with a dinner on Monday evening when the entertainment was provided by Past President of the Hunterston Rotary, David Ennis, who also happens to be Past President of the Scottish Magicians Association.  Some very rusty school French was heard, and Google Translate was in evidence.

Tuesday was a visit to Dumfries House, Wednesday to Arran, Thursday to Mount Stuart on Bute, and on Friday they will be in Edinburgh.  In addition, some will be golfing at Turnberry and Irvine, and going on to St Andrews for a further week.  The French are being hosted in Rotarians’ homes, and the weather for the week has been arranged as typically Scottish sunshine to impress the guests and promote our tourism.
