This November we have our own Institute for Zones 17 and 18a, which will be known as the ‘Be The Inspiration Weekend’. Register Now to be part of something special!


The event is especially for Rotarians in Great Britain & Ireland – affording us the opportunity to meet and share ideas within these islands in the beautiful historic setting of Shakespeare’s Stratford-Upon-Avon.

  • Foundation Day – Friday 23rd November
  • Be The Inspiration Event – Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November

[For additional information: GETS (for the DGEs) will be held prior to the event on Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd November 2018 at the same venue]

Commencing on 23rd November with a Foundation Seminar, Be The Inspiration runs through Saturday to midday Sunday 25th.

Centrally placed along the River Avon, the Crowne Plaza Hotel has excellent facilities with a good reputation for such events.

The organising team under the direction of Past Rotary International Director Keith Barnard-Jones is committed to providing information, entertainment, and education with the opportunity for everyone to partake in breakout sessions and workshops.

We really do need your thoughts, comments, and ideas. Rotary IS changing, so be part of that change.

Rotary Club of Sandbach Crosses will be carrying out collections this year on the following dates: M6 North & South - 7th;14th & 21st December. Co OP (Junc 17) - 13th December. Waitrose - 18th & . 20th December.

Following the hugely successful Santa Collection this year, a cheque for £600.00 was presented to Deborah Millican of North West Air Ambulance at Malkins Bank Golf Club.

Ten Rotarians from Sandbach & Sandbach Crosses Club arrived at Brereton Heath Nature Reserve on 11th December 2017 to plant 55 young trees.

There were almost 400 trees collected this year which contributed to the record £27,000.00 plus which was raised for St Lukes Hospice. Well done and thank you to all that helped.

Elworth Hall School RotaKids sponsorded by Rotary Club of Sandbach & Sandbach Crosses. The third RotaKids Club in Sandbach was started in September 2017.

Our present numbers are good but we need to plan for the future to make sure the Rotary Club of Sandbach Crosses is vibrant and playing a leading part in our growing local community for many years to come.

During the year we look to support variou projects which may include "water aid" and "shoe box" appeals. This is to be undertaken with fund raising activities that will include all club members as well as the local population and surrounding areas.

The Youth Committee plans to organise anotherquiz night and meal at Sandbach High School supporting students who study hospitality. There will also be another social evening promoting young talented musicians.

We plan to restart activities as the circumstances permit following the pandemic. We will look to additional opportunities to support other projects in the club and the wider Sandbach community.
