Jordans & District Rotary Club visit to York - June 3rd - June 6th 2019
The seven Rotarians and their Ladies met on the first evening at the Rustique Restau.rant to enjoy and excellent meal together.
For the nextwo days, individuals chose what activiuties nad views they wanted to savour from the many on of in York.
The Yorvik Centre was popular as was the Chocolate Experience. Many walked the wall, visited museums, and went round the National Trust Sites such as the Treasurers House and the home of the Terry family.
York Minster was another popular destination and a few were seen recovering in Betty's Teashop. On the sencond evening, the men went to join York Vikings Rotary Club, while the ladies went to an Italian Restaurant. Some went to see the wonderful Railway Museum.
On the third evening all had dinner in a private room at the Rattle Owl and after the meal were rntertained by the owner showing us the Roman remians in the basement of her rettaurant..All agreed it was a most enjoyable few days and look forward toa similar visit, perhaps further afield, in the future.
