Help us to Help our Charities, 2020/21

Newport Pagnell Rotary - Fund Raising with e-bay.

Newport Pagnell Rotary

HELP - HELP - HELP

Make yourself a profit by Donating!

Since lockdown, it has been increasingly difficult for charities to fundraise. Our Rotary Club has also faced similar challenges as a donator. With limited resources we have struggled to identify practical ways to fundraise to the same extent as we have in previous years given the constraints brought about by the pandemic.
Nevertheless we donated money to Newport Pagnell swimming Club just before lockdown and we will very soon be making a significant donation to a Milton Keynes charity for the homeless as well as helping them practically on a relocation project. The charity is The Bus Shelter MK and helps the homeless to find jobs and permanent homes. We have therefore been very active as well as continuing with our regular Zoom meetings.
The Club has now set up a new fundraising project which we would like all our readers to get involved in. It meets all the requirements of social distancing rules whilst providing another source of funding for our charities. Members of the Club, their families and friends, are donating unwanted items of value which are then auctioned using on-line sites like eBay with the proceeds then being awarded to local charities. So far we have raised many hundreds of pounds but our target is to raise many thousands of pounds by this method. This is where you can help us. By donating unwanted items of value to the Club, we will do all the work of selling them for you. We will reward you if your item sells for more than £50 by gifting you 20% of the proceeds. All you have to do is contact us and we will do the rest! Ideal if you want to help a local charity and are unsure about how to manage on-line auctions. When you contact us, we will collect the item(s), set up the auction, collect the money and ensure the buyer gets the item. Then we will send you your reward if the sale meets the £50 target.
So start clearing out your house and donate unwanted items! Remember, only call us if you have something of an estimated significant value; say over £40.
You can reach us by telephone or email. Either John Neale(mob: 07748313038 or email: nealebroughton@aol.com)  or Geoff Simmonds (mob: 07778397096 or email: simmondsgeoffrey@gmail.com) are the best contacts for this project.
They will organise the collection of your donation.
PLEASE HELP US TO HELP OTHERS AND, AT THE SAME TIME, HELP YOU WITH SOME EXTRA POCKET MONEY!!
