Jaipur Limb Camp

With local partner the Rotary Club of Central Calcutta, we supported a two year project to supply artificial limbs and calipers.

Thanks to the magic of Rotary, £6000 raised in Blairgowrie and District turned into $42000. Over two years  2009 - 2010, this enabled 1000 patients in Kolkata, and some in Varanasi (Benares) to benefit from artificial upper and lower limbs, and calipers for polio victims.

The work was carried out at the Shree Jain Hispital in Kolkata by Rotary members and volunteers; the money raised paid for the equipment and the technicians who carried it out
