Bike Bath

A fun charity cycle ride to raise funds starting and ending in Bath, Frome, or Devizes .

Excellent news! Our presidents, Thomas and Jan, along with Jim Watkin, successfully cycled for us in Bike Bath this year. The weather was perfect for cycling, dry and not too hot. And our cyclists all managed the distances they aimed for - an amazing 50 miles for Jan on one route, and 70 miles for Thomas and Jim. Our thanks to them all!

The cyclists enjoyed it and were awarded their medals on the their return to the Rec. The photos were kindly taken by Hilary from the Genesis Trust. The funds we raise will be shared between the Genesis Trust Bath and SWEDA (Somerset and Wessex Eating Disorders Association).

Our thanks go to all those who sponsored the cyclists. The sponsorship will be collected by the cyclists over the next few weeks, either at meetings or by post. They may need to remind sponsors of the amount they promised.

Over the past 5 years Bathavon has raised some £14,000 from sponsored cycle rides by club members, their families, friends and supporters.

The event is organized by Iconic Cycling Events and open to everyone. Bathavon would be grateful for any help in raising funds through participation in the event.
