ShelterBox - Immediate Disaster Relief

ShelterBox is a Rotary founded UK charity we have supported since 2001, with £18,301 donated to date purchasing 31 boxes

ShelterBox was founded in Cornwall in the year 2000 and has grown to be a global reaching charity, providing rapid on-the-ground help for an entire family, including a tent for shelter, tools to work soil, heat, warm bedding, water purification, first aid, cooking utensils and more. Often this is where natural disasters have occurred such as earthquakes or famine and also in areas of conflict and the resultant human displacement.

Once used, the boxes are returned to their UK base for replenishment, ready to be assigned to their next crucial and potentially life-saving situation.

Our Club has now purchased 31 ShelterBoxes to date and it is a cause we regularly add to through additional purchases from our fund-raising activities.
