£1,000 Donation to The Garwood Foundation's Rutherford School

Club President George Paulson and President-Elect Mike Rowan visited this outstanding school on Thursday 19th May to see their activities and present a donation.


We presented a donation cheque of £1,000 to the Garwood Foundation’s Rutherford School in South Croydon this week.

Club President, George Paulson, and President Elect Mike Rowan, visited the School on Thursday 19th May. The school cares for and educates some twenty five severely disabled children and young adults from 3 to 25 years of age.

George reflected: “Visiting the classes and talking with the Headteacher and her staff showed the compassion, care and sensitive attention which the school gives. The dignity, respect and dedication to the students by the most wonderful staff was humbling and the motivation and achievement of the students by the most expert caring is amazing.

At a time when the school is about to expand to satisfy growing demand, the Club's donation is warmly extended to a most needy cause. Thanks for all that you do and every best wish to you all at Rutherford".
