Rotarians from St Leonards and Senlac Rotary Clubs met at the Royal Victoria Hotel, for a Would I Lie To You? rematch

Rotarians from St Leonards and Senlac Rotary Clubs, together with their partners met at the Royal Victoria Hotel, St Leonards, on Wednesday 19th July. Following the meal, a rematch of last year’s “Would I lie to you” challenge, at which St Leonards sniffed out the truths and lies better than Senlac, took place. Two teams of three from each club told their tales for the other to decide whether the tales were true or false. Chaired by Senlac President, Andy Cruttenden, the St Leonards team comprised Ken Melsom, Michael Foster and Therese Mahindrakar and Senlac Peter Stiles, Marcia Bryant and Colin Davis. Decisions were not easy with tales such as a new optometrist testing a lady’s glass eye, a hotel manager turning away Johnny Cash and “I have a ghost in my house”, being told. On this occasion Senlac proved to be the better sleuths and ran out winners by 7 points to 5.
