Rotary Club of Senlac’s President, Andy Cruttenden

Andy Cruttenden is the new President of Senlac Rotary

Andy Cruttenden is the new President of Senlac Rotary. He took over the post on July 1st 2023, the start of the new Rotary year, from the previous President, Roger Young, who sadly died a few days before his term of office was due to finish.

Andy lived and worked in Crowborough for many years;  he was the Manager of Bishops’ Services, a large cleaning company, where he was employed for 34 years. His wife, Angie, was the office manager in the same business. On retirement they moved to Bexhill where close friends, the late Geoff Gander, a former Senlac President, and his wife, Sally, lived. While they were still in Crowborough, Geoff had persuaded them to help out at the Club’s classic car show for several years and this gave Andy an interest in Rotary which he followed up when he came to Bexhill. Andy joined Senlac Rotary in 2019. At the time Andy said,” When we moved to Bexhill I decided to join because I want to meet people and become involved with the various things they do.” As Andy accepted the chain of office, he said, “I have plans for the club during the coming year and membership will be an important element; I hope the new membership committee will be successful. At the moment we have only a small number of members but despite that I hope we can have a successful year and undertake a number of activities.

Andy is interested in sport, reading, cookery and travel and it goes without saying, his family; he has a son and daughter and five grandchildren.
