Tarporley & District Rotary Club's Fun Quiz on 13th April at Tarporley Community Centre in support of St Luke's Hospice was sold out with all 100 tickets quickly taken.

The evening was helped along by Quiz Master Andrew Wallace who had assembled 11 rounds of challenging (and occasionally not quite so challenging) questions. The winning team were Bare Withers, closely followed in second place by Tarporley Pot Holes whilst Hells Bells and Depleted but not Defeated came equal third. Congratulations to all!

Our thanks to the many Rotary members and friends who helped to make the evening a success, as well as local businesses that provided food, drink and glasses. Special thanks to Tarporley Post Office and Hair Academy for selling the tickets.

As well as having an enjoyable time , there was a more serious purpose to the evening which was supporting the work of the hospice. Through the generosity of those attending, we are delighted to announce that the evening raised a total of £1,351 for St Luke's.

For more about the work of the hospice, please see the St Luke's hospice website.
