Boats on Bristol Harbour and the M Shed

Clive Brain will give a talk on boats in Bristol Harbour and the M Shed, including the Pyronaut which was the fireboat.

Clive Brain will be talking about “Pyronaut and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant”. He will give an introduction to the MShed and its working exhibits and, in particular, The Pyronaut (Bristol’s former fire boat) of which he was the skipper.

Club members will have the opportunity later in the year for a private visit to the MShed which will include:

  • A Harbour cruise on one of the boats
  • A Dockside crane demonstration with a chance to visit the driver’s cab (for the more adventurous!)
  • A behind the scenes tour with a volunteer stores guide
