Last Thursday we held our annual Over 70's Variety Show at Dobbies Sports and Social Club. What a fantastic afternoon, about 145 people were entertained by the Northern Sopranos, The Soldiers of Swing and Gary Devon who got everyone up dancing. There was a late lunch of pie and peas, an Easter bonnet parade and the Mayor, Councillor Sandra Walmsley, who was in attendance chose the winner. The club was presented with a cheque by Asda for £400 and the residents of Abbeyfield House gave the club £300. It was a busy afternoon for our members who never stopped, but absolutely worth it to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves
