Sep 2014 Peace themed 3 days of Sixth Form activities.

Mon, Sep 22nd 2014 at 12:00 am- Wed, Sep 24th 2014 - 3:00 pm

Three days of visits to 8 local schools - workshops, talks and discussions.

Peace One Day is an international movement to promote peace, resist aggression and spread skills to defuse tensions and celebrate the annual UN Day of Peace 21st September.

Our club annually organises 3 days of popular activities for local Sixth Form students, during the school day, that centre on a Rotary Peace Scholar from Bradford University.  The scholars are interesting people from areas of the world overtaken by conflict and who come to Bradford UK for a one year degree, sponsored by Rotary.  This year Philip Ikita from Nigeria has been kind enough to give us his time.  The Peace team were well received at every school they visited and Philip was very pleased with his enthusiastic reception. Several of the students had been at the Sunday Peace Conference.
