The Bourne Supremacy

On June 9th, fourteen friends, partners and members of Eccles Rotary Club arrived in Stamford Lincolnshire for the 2017 Eccles Rotary Fellowship Weekend, hosted by Julie & Rob Larkinson.

Friday was spent visiting the famous market, with lunch for some at the historic George Hotel and this was followed by a club dinner at the Crown Hotel where many members were staying. This included the famous Beef Bourginon pie.

Saturday dawned bright & clear and members were free to visit the local sights including the antique shops or Burghley House with its fantastic murals and ceiling paintings. We didn’t have time to go around the gardens and mush of the parkland was fenced off for a pop concert but there is always another time.

The trip ended with a superb dinner at Julie and Rob’s house where there was a lot of banter, laughter and fun making this a most memorable weekend for all.
