Santa also appeared via ZOOM this year
Due to the current COVID 19 situation the usual Santa appearances at supermarkets and street tours were cancelled but children were able to talk to Santa using Zoom.
We were very mindful of the fact that the opportunity to chat to Santa in person would have been greatly missed by the children .
Santa had been learning to use Zoom video conferencing and was able to talk to some of the children in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
The Lamplighters arranged for Santa to have short chats of around five minutes duration which were booked using this website.
The initiative ran over six nights finishing on 23rd December and Santa was able to talk to over 50 happy children. We are not sure who enjoyed it most , Santa or the Children !
