About us

The Rotary Club of Okehampton was founded in 1964. We currently meet in The Taw River Inn, Sticklepath once a month on a Thursday evening 7.00 for 7.30pm.   We also meet each month for a lunchtime meeting to discuss the club's business.

President Paul Vachon

On this site you will find details of our planned events and activities for the Rotary Year, a description of the work done by each of our busy committees and a great selection of pictures in the Club Photo Gallery

Visiting Rotarians are always most welcome - just turn up and if you would like a meal you can order it on arrival - but not all club members have a meal. If you need to check any details, please just contact our secretary who will be delighted to assist.

What is "ROTARY". The four objects of Rotary say it all:

  1. The development of friendship as an opportunity for service
  2. High ethical standards in our businesses and professions and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society
  3. Bringing the ideal of service into our personal, business and community lives
  4. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional people united in the ideal of service.
