On Saturday 17th May Bridgnorth Rotary Club will be holding its annual Spring plant sale at Astley Abbots Village Hall from 09:00am. Join us for light refreshments and browse a wide selection of plants for sale from £1.00.

About us


The Rotary Club of Bridgnorth received its Charter in 1943. Current President for 2024/5 is David Chantrey.        

The Team also includes Vice President Dermott Creese and 2nd Vice President James Gittins.

The Club is part of a world wide organisation and members are welcome at other Clubs in the UK and around the world. 

Over the course of the year Bridgnorth Rotary Club hosts a number of annual events, raising money in support of local communities and charities. Please see below a short overview of these events and the monies raised over the last few years. If you wish to get involved with these events in the future please contact a member of the Club:

Classic Car Run (July): 

2022: £900 raised

2023: £700 raised ... even though it was a very wet day!

2024: £1,595 raised

Up The Steps Walk (October): Navigate your way around Bridgnorth, scaling over 800 steps between High Town & Low Town, all whilst raising money for your choice of charity.

2021: £3,387 raised

2022: £1,749 raised

2023: £11,818 raised

2024: £10,128 raised

Rotary Tree of Thought (November/ December): Remember your loved ones by adding their name or a message to the Rotary Tree of Thought, located in Bridgnorth High Street.

2024: £2,000 raised
