Collection for Indonesia earthquake
Casterbridge Rotary collecting in South Street to help support victims of the Indonesian Earthquakedetails
This is avery difficult time for us all and so it is more important than ever that we do as much as possible to support each other and help those who are are unable to provide for their own needs. The above leaflet gives the information from the local authority but it is also well supported by the service clubs and other volunteers.
Richard Brind President 2019-20
The Rotary Club of Dorchester Casterbridge is supporting the NHS who are working round the clock to help save lives. One of the ways they are doing this is to sponsor hand-creams that are being donated to front-line staff who deserve some extra care. So far, in excess of 140 hand-creams have been sent to Dorset County Hospital paid for by members of the club.
"NHS staff work super hard, so we would love to be able to donate as many hand-creams as possible to hospitals, as they need them now more than ever. Their hands will be sore with the additional sanitising and a nice hand-cream might just make their hands a bit softer. We just want to let them know we're thinking of them, and we appreciate all they're doing, and maybe even bring a smile to their faces."
