About us

WELCOME!  We are a very small group of like-minded men and women, part of Rotary International, one of the largest volunteer organisations in the world with 1.2 million members.

We have also welcomed our first Corporate Members this year too!

Widnes Rotary was first formed in 1937 and for the past 89 years has been involved not only in our local community, but also abroad, trying to make a difference to the lives of others, following Rotary's motto 'Service above Self'.

Many in Widnes will have seen our Christmas float, bringing joy to young and old since the early 1960's, raising vital funds for our local community,
.... but this is not all we do, so t
ake a look around our website to see what else we get up to!

We meet in two ways:-

Main Group - a more traditional get together over a meal, followed by business or a speaker, meeting on the 1st and 3rd Monday's in the month (except bank holidays).

Impact Group - a recently formed action-based group for those with less time.  Meeting at the moment once a month to discuss ideas and how we can help our community.

We appreciate everyone leads busy lives and can't always commit,
but that's fine too - just get in touch in you'd like to know more - we are a friendly bunch!
