DetailsOur Rotary year begins in July and we get up to all sorts of things, (please look through this website for more detail) but most of you will know us for our Christmas activities, ranging from 14 nights in different areas of Widnes with our float, bringing Santa to see countless excited children (and adults!) as we collected, walking 65 miles in the process, as well as two weekends collecting at Asda Widnes and, for the first time, having a presence with Santa at Notcutts Rivendell Garden Centre.
We raised a record, jaw dropping £23,500, all with the invaluable help of local businesses and volunteers, so our thanks go to them and to the Widnes community who so generously donated!
We happily donated this money back to the Widnes community in March at our annual 'Thank You Evenng', put on to thank those who help us on the float. 59 different groups and individuals benefited from a grant following a brief application process and it was wonderful to see how much good goes on in our community!
Now off to do more 'Dogoodery' in the words of a young Rotaractor!
Please get in touch in you'd like to know more - we are a friendly bunch!
