The Rotary Club of Wymondham was formed in 1959. Since its beginning tens of thousands of pounds have been raised for good causes in the town and throughout the world.
We are a group of men and women from many professional backgrounds, working together for the general wellbeing of our local and international community. Rotary has a membership of over 1.2 million in 200 countries across the world.
Each year the Wymondham Rotary Club is actively involved in a number of long standing and new, local community activities and projects. We aim to ensure that the club offers something for every member to support and each year we have been successful in providing practical assistance for many people for various good causes.
In normal times we meet each Monday lunchtime at the Queen's Head restaurant for a simple meal, short business meeting and generally listen to a guest speaker or have a structured discussion. Apart from Club meetings on Monday there are many social and charity events organised that provide opportunity for fellowship and fundraising.
At present, due to Covid-19 we meet virtually each week using zoom. If you would like to join our meeting please contact the secretary on 07733002897 for joiing instructions.
In 2015 a Satellite Group was formed, aimed more for people who prefer to meet less frequently and in a less formal setting. The Satellite Group meets every fortnight between 6pm and 7pm at Star Throwers, Melton Road, Wymondham, for a one hour business meeting with light refreshments.
If you would like to become involved in either of our Wymondham Rotary groups, based in our local Wymondham community then please make an enquiry by clicking the button at the top of this page. We would be particularly keen to attract younger members.
We meet on Mondays at 12:30(For 5th Monday meetings please contact the Secretary on 07733002897) Queen's Head
