Santa is coming back to Bromley this December!

Our Bromley Borough Rotary Club will once again be taking Santa around the streets of Bromley on our festive “sleigh”… which is actually our lovingly restored vintage milk float!

Last year, thanks to the generosity of local families, we raised nearly £20,000 for Bromley charities and deserving causes.

Nearly every penny has already gone back into supporting our community.

This year, we’re delighted that Milk & More are again sponsoring the event by covering the cost of printing and distributing over 10,000 Christmas‑card leaflets.

These leaflets include route details, how to donate, and how to track Santa live as he travels around Bromley.

We can’t wait to see you all again on the routes — children waving, families smiling, and Santa spreading Christmas cheer across the borough.

Thank you Bromley… and thank you Milk & More!

Together, we make Christmas magic happen.

Earlier this month Carol organised a Tea Party in support of Against Breast Cancer.

It was a lovely afternoon and a great success!

Bromley Borough Rotary: A Community of Service and Connection

For many years our Clubs have been a hub of enjoyment for members while fostering service to our community, both locally and internationally. At Bromley Borough Rotary (formed from the recent merging of the neighbouring clubs of Bromley and Ravensbourne), we engage in hands-on volunteering, fundraising, and sharing our professional skills to support local charities. We are a group of committed Rotarians dedicated to the principle of "Service Above Self."

In today's world, we understand the increasing demands on your time-work commitments, family responsibilities, and more. We know your time is precious, and prioritising family and work is essential. At Bromley Borough Rotary, we appreciate that sometimes, family or work considerations may affect the time you can dedicate to Rotary activities. Rest assured, that's never an issue with us.

We've structured our meetings to accommodate everyone who wants to get involved. We usually offer three meetings per month (one at lunchtime and two in the evening), together with the occasional Zoom meeting. This flexibility allows those who cannot attend in person to still participate and engage through Zoom. All we ask is that you attend at least one meeting each month and help the club in its fundraising activities whenever possible. Plus, your whole family is welcome to join and assist at our events. We also have a vibrant social calendar that includes activities for the entire family.

Whether you are someone new to Rotary looking to make a difference, or a former Rotarian or Inner Wheel member who left due to time constraints, Bromley Borough Rotary provides the perfect opportunity. You decide how much time you can contribute and still be a part of the Rotary family.

Bromley Borough Rotary Handover – A Celebration of Service and New Beginnings

On a golden summer afternoon, Sunday 28th June, the Bromley Borough Rotary Club came together for a truly special occasion — our annual Presidential Handover, hosted in the beautiful garden of our incoming President, Charles. With blue skies above and the warmth of fellowship all around, the day unfolded as a joyful blend of celebration, reflection, and hope.

Guests were welcomed with refreshing drinks, delicious food, and the gentle buzz of laughter and conversation. The relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere made it feel more like a garden party than a formal event — just the way Rotary should be.

Then came the ceremonial passing of the baton — or rather, the Presidential chain — from President Divya to President Charles. It was a moment rich in symbolism, as we looked back with appreciation and forward with excitement. Div received heartfelt thanks for his dedicated leadership, while Charles was welcomed (again!) with enthusiasm and optimism for the year ahead.

And of course, no Rotary event is complete without giving back. A raffle raised nearly £400 which was put towards providing a ShelterBox for delivery to those suffering because of the recent earthquake in Venezuela ... turning a day of celebration into a gift of hope for others.

The sun may have begun to set, but the spirit of Rotary shone on — the last of our merry group lingering well into the evening.
