Derwen students receive their Duke of Edinburgh's Awards from Oswestry Town Mayor Paul Milner

President Mike,  Peter Hill and Ian Haigh attended Derwen College's Duke of Edinburgh's Award ceremony this afternoon where they, briefly, met former Club member, now Honorary Club member, David Towers who kindly supplied these photo.  As sponsors of the Derwen's Bronze Award students, the Rotary Club of Oswestry were invited as guests.

In total, there were 12 Bronze Awards, 10 Silver Awards and 4 Gold Awards - more than double the total achieved last year. Definitely an activity on the up for the Derwen.
