30.10.17 Street Collection and Sponsored Cycle Ride Support Carers Trust 4All
Mike Griffiths and President David Davies present Jill Livingstone of Carers Trust 4All with a cheque for £150 from the Street Collection plus £150 from Team Smells Like Toast's sponsored cycle ride.
Following the demise of the Red Cross Young Carers, who provided support and respite for young people who are caring for others (usually family members), Carers Trust 4All took on the service and are working against budget cuts to provide a service for the young carers throughout Shropshire.
The monies presented will support the service in and around Oswestry.
6.11.17 Team Smells Like Toast Move to Help The Movement Centre
The Movement Centre is a UK charity based at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital which offers a unique therapy to children with cerebral palsy and other problems of movement control gain independence.
Many children who visit The Movement Centre have a disability that affects their movement control. Targeted Training, developed by the Centre 20 years ago, addresses these issues. Consequently, a course of therapy can help children to gain essential functional skills making a child far more independent. As a result, this can completely change their lives.
Rotarian Hazel Yates visited the Movement Centre at the Orthopaedic to present the monies raised by the Team Smells Like Toast Sponsored Cycle Ride from Oswestry to Combs la Ville to Victoria Handbury-Madin, Fundraising Manager for the charity.
